Tyler Milicic
Book, Lyrics, Music
Tyler Milicic is a theatre creator with roles onstage, backstage, and from behind the production table. Since beginning his theatre journey in the 7th grade he’s been an avid theatre goer and practitioner all over Northeast Ohio. Some of his favorite roles to perform while participating in the youth group at OTHT include Fagin in Oliver!, Sky Masterson in Guys and Dolls and Chad in All Shook Up. He has also assistant directed shows at OTHT such as Ring of Fire and Peter Pan. This sparked a passion under him for work behind the production table. This led him to enrolling at Cleveland State University (CSU) where he got to work as an assistant director for The Skin of Our Teeth and designed costumes, lighting, sound, and sets for multiple shows. His other directing credits include three original shows he wrote as well as Ken Hill’s Phantom of the Opera at CSU. As a playwright Tyler has produced three original plays in the past. Including Penny For Your Thoughts, which was produced alongside other advanced directing projects for CSU’s advanced directing class workshop, Fools, which was produced by Tyler as an independent student production his fourth year, and a virtual play, Like You, during the time COVID shutdown theatres which he used to raise over four-hundred dollars for OTHT and a local mental health facility, The Nord Center. Tyler has worked at multiple theatre companies including French Creek Theatre as a youth camp counselor and assistant director and at Playhouse Square as a season ticket representative. Tyler also serves on the board of directors at Olde Towne Hall Theatre. Tyler is thankful for his family, friends, colleagues and peers for driving him to be a better artist, and person, everyday.
